Mallan Makeat -kahvila / Mallan Makeat café

Jos satut joskus eksymään syvälle Etelä-Pohjanmaan ytimeen, Ilmajoen kuntaan, älä missaa tätä mahtavaa kahvilaa: Mallan Makeat. Mallan Makeat on romanttiseen tyyliin sisustettu viehättävä pikkuinen kahvila. Se on todellinen hattaraunelma kaikkine vaaleanpunaisen ja vaaleansinisen sävyineen. Kakut ja leivonnaiset olivat jotain uskomattoman makeaa ja maukasta. Kieli jäi sille tielle. Minä tilasin mustikkajuustokakkua ja äitini tilasi kinuski-ananas -kakkua. Niin maukasta! Neiti 3,5 kk joutui tyytymään maisemien ihailuun mumman sylistä.

If you ever end up visiting a place called Ilmajoki, in Souht Ostrobothnia, you shouldn't miss this adorable café: Mallan Makeat. The decoration of the café is really romantic. It's a real cotton candy dream world with all those different shades of pink and light blue. And the cakes and pastries they sell are out of this world! I ate blueberry cheesecake and my mum took caramel pineapple cake. Super super tasty! Our three and half months old baby didn't get any cake but she enjoyed the view from her granny's lap.

In the café there is also a little home decoration shop. So if you're into pastel colours and shabby chic style or just want to have a piece of extremely tasty cake, go to there! And they have website too, here.

Hyvää äitienpäivää / Happy Mother's day

Hyvää äitienpäivää kaikille äideille! Menin tänään äitini kanssa Tallipihan kahvilaan. Se on mielestäni aivan ihana maalaisromanttinen kahvila. Rakastan kahvilan vanhanaikaista henkeä ja suussasulavia muffineja ja juustokakkuja. Nyt valmistelen äitienpäivän päivällistä ja myöhemmin aion yllättää äidin kasvohoidolla ja manikyyrillä.

Happy Mother's day to all mothers! Today, I went to a local café with my mum. It's an adorable little café. I just love the old fashioned look and, of course, the tasty muffins and cheesecakes. Now I am preparing dinner for my mum and later I am going to surprise her with a facial mask and a manicure.

Matkavinkki / A tip for a trip

Hei kaikki! Minulla on ollut ihan hirveän kiireistä ja stressaavaa viime aikoina, huoh. Siksi aionkin antaa teille matkavinkin. Matkustaminenhan tunnetusti vähentää stressiä :) Viime kesänä, minä ja avopuolisoni matkustimme Fiskarsin Ruukin kylään (lisäinfoa kylästä täältä). Vuokrasimme pienen mökin Villiruusun Bed and Breakfast nimisestä paikasta, ja täytyy kyllä myöntää, että paikka oli aivan mahtava! Katsopas näitä ihania kuvia, niin olet varmasti kanssani samaa mieltä:

Hello all! I've been extremely busy and stressed lately, sigh. That is why I decided to give you a vacation tip. Naturally, because vacations reduce stress :) Last summer, me and my fiancé travelled to Fiskars, which is a small village here in Finland (more information here). We booked a cottage at Villiruusun Bed and Breakfast and I must admit that the place was absolutely adorable! Just take a look at these pictures and I bet that you'll agree with me:

Mökin sisustus on aivan upean kaunis. Pidän todella paljon mökin maalaisromanttisesta tyylistä. Jokainen yksityiskohta on huolella mietitty: pöydällä olevat kukat ja omenat luovat raikkaan ja kodikkaan tunnelman. Jääkaappikin oli täynnä aamupalatarvikkeita, kun saavuimme mökkiin. Kaiken tämän kruunasi vielä mökin oma sauna. Jos sinulla on joskus aikomus matkustaa Fiskarsin Ruukin kylään, vuokraa ehdottomasti tämä mökki!


The decoration of the cottage is absolutely beautiful. I really like the romantic country look that this little cottage has. Every detail in the cottage is planned carefully. There were apples and flowers on the table and the fridge was full of food when we came. And of course, this cottage has a private sauna. If you ever have an opportunity to visit this little cottage, do it!
